HOW TO GET GOD TO HEAL YOU
Don't give up! Pray and Be persistent - Keep asking! Keep praying! Don't stop and don't give up if you want to get better - God is good to his word!
BE PERSISTENT
Jesus gave us this parable as an example of how to pray and ask God to make things right. Read this parable, it's very short - Luke 18:1 through 8 .
Luke 18:1 - Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
Luke 18:2 - He said:
"In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men.
Luke 18:3 -
And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'
Luke 18:4 -
"For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men,
Luke18:5 -
yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'"
Luke 18:6 - And the Lord said,
"Listen to what the unjust judge says.
Luke 18:7 -
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
Luke 18:8 -
I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth.
Jesus was comparing the widow to "us" and the judge to God! He is telling us to literally keep asking God for what we need, until he gives it to us.
Many of you have been told at one time or another, "Ask God only once for what you want, If you ask him more than once, you are not using faith".
Don't believe that!
That is not God talking, that's someone else! Jesus tells us plainly to be "very" persistent! Go to the Lord's prayer
Luke 11:1
then read after the Lord's prayer.
Luke 11:5 through 8
. Jesus gave them (and us) a parable to explain to them how to pray!
Luke 11:5 - Then he said to them,
"Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
Luke 11:6 -
because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'
Luke 11:7 -
"Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.'
Luke 11:8 -
I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
Luke 11:9 - "So I say to you:
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Luke 11:10 -
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Read
Luke 11:8
again! "yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs." Does it seem God is trying to tell you something? This is exactly how you should be praying to God if you need healing!
Skip the flashy faith healers and start pestering God! (It is what he has told us to do) Put your money back in your purse or wallet. The so called faith healers you see on TV with the expensive clothes and jewelery can only help you with back problems!
They will make your purse or wallet lighter for you to carry around! Thus, your back will feel relief. Skip the middle man and talk directly to God! He "is" the healer. If you don't feel important enough to talk to God directly, just tell him "Jesus sent you!"
WHAT YOU NEED TO RECEIVE HEALING
You need the same thing that without, it is impossible to please God. I am talking about "Faith", and as you read on, I'll tell you how to get faith.
Hebrews 11:6 -
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
This is an Interesting scripture! It implies that simply by seeking God, one is already exercising a measure of faith. After all, when a person is starving, they do not "seek" the Easter Bunny to get eggs!
If you need God and are looking for him, know that he "will" reward you when you find him.
Don't let anyone, especially a well meaning Christian, tell you that you are not worthy!
Don't let anyone tell you: "well, you hardly ever went to church, you never talked to God until you needed something, he's not going to listen!", but I'll be praying for ya - God bless ya! .. etc...
Get away from those people (fast) or anyone else who are not boldly proclaiming that "with God, all things are possible"
Matthew 19:26 -
And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Mark 9:23
- And Jesus said to him, " 'If You can?' All things are possible to him who believes."
1-Peter 2:24 -
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
Do you understand this? It does not read: "By his wounds you "might" be healed, or could be healed. It says: "You were healed". It is written in the past tense meaning: "You already have it!"
In other words, compare it to "money in the bank" that some generous person deposited for you into your account. Even though you may need the money desperately, it won't do you much good until "you" go draw it out!
The bank of course has procedures you must follow to do so. If you need to receive a miracle or be healed, God also has procedures you must follow. The first question both will ask is: "Who are you and where do you live?"
You see, God blesses and takes care of his own. Did you just slide in for a quick healing, miracle, then back to business as usual? Not ever quite finding enough time to talk to, or have a relationship with God?
God knows! God may even test you for a period of time before you receive your miracle or healing. God wants to be the most important thing in your life, not just a tool to be used and then put back in the shed.
This page is not what Dan Douglass tells you to do to get God to heal you, It is what Jesus Christ himself told you to do to get a healing from God.
FAST AGAINST SICKNESS
Do exactly what you would do "after" God healed you or answered your prayer. Praise Him! Praising God is not just simply complementing the Lord, It is very powerful! When you are praising God, Satan can't get near you.
HOW TO GET FAITH?
You need faith if you want to please God. If you need an answer to prayer, miracle, healing, protection or even a blessing, God does reward those who seek him!
Hebrews 11:6 -
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?
As far as fasting to promote recovery from illness, God was very clear. God said, if we fast and give food to the poor, clothing to the naked, and shelter to the homeless, our recovery would speedily spring forth.
Isaiah 58:8 -
"Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
Isaiah 58:9 - "Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; You will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness,
Isaiah 58:10 - And if you give yourself to the hungry And satisfy the desire of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday.
Isaiah 58:11 - "And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
