~ THE HOLY TRINITY ~

WHAT IS THE HOLY TRINITY?

HOW CAN GOD BE ONE PERSON AND THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE AT THE SAME TIME?

SON OF GOD DOCTRINE VS. THE ONENESS DOCTRINE!

If you read the very first verse in the bible, you will find something very interesting.

Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

In the Hebrew text of which Genesis was originally written, the word God is "Plural". So it can easily read, or possibly should be read as: "In the beginning "Gods" created the heavens and the earth".

This is also supported by Genesis 1:26 - (King James Version)

Genesis 1:26 - And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness.

Again a plural is used. (Three times) The book of John refers to the "Word" (Jesus) and "God" as being one and the same.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word "was" God.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the paradox of God being one God and also three separate God's at the same time. After all, according to scripture, when you get married, you are considered "one flesh" with your spouse even though you are two separate people.

Similarly, there can be thousands of troops. They can all have different names, ranks and identities, yet they are "all" marines. Within the trinity it appears that God makes the decisions, the "Word" (Christ) speaks it, and the Holy Spirit has the power and performs the deed.

Personally, It doesn't matter to me whether he is one God, or several God's, as long as they are "all" pleased with me.
